• About Me

My name is Scott Kolendreski, an illustrator, animator, photographer and VFX artist. Art and design have been a mainstay in my life since childhood, shaped by my parents’ appreciation for things from the past and their philosophy of using things until their last thread. Growing up in such an environment formed my interest and connection to vintage style and design, which I often aim to incorporate into my own work, whether it’s by adding just a touch of retro inspired detail or building the entire project around a vintage theme.
I find much of my inspiration comes from many retro sources such as album art, branding, printed ad design, television commercials and much more. I often find inspiring elements and ideas within these sources, which I am constantly trying to incorporate into my own work.

My style often tends to revolve around vibrant patterns and colors, and a maximalist philosophy. Some artists and designers I consider my biggest influences are Yayoi Kusama, the Memphis Group, Hiroshi Nagai, and Bryan Lee O’Malley.
